Julie Herndier (Surrey, BC) 8-1, then won 8-5 against Kim Slattery (Vernon, BC). Gushulak went on to lose 10-1 against Sarah Wark (Chilliwack, BC). Gushulak responded with a 8-1 win over Kelly Shimizu (Richmond, BC). Gushulak won 7-3 against Kayte Gyles (Surrey, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the BC Scotties - Open Event #2, Gushulak take home 7.013 world rankings points, remaining in 43rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 136.168 total points. Gushulak ranks 45th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 70.670 points earned so far this season.
