Murdoch won 7-1 against Alexander Baumann (Fuessen, GER), then won 7-6 against Alexey Stukalskiy (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
Murdoch earned 15.561 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 10th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 10.576 after improving upon their best so far this season.
