In their opening game, Casey lost 6-5 to Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 11-5 win over Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). Casey won 8-3 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Casey went on to lose 8-3 against Jean-Michel Menard (Levis, QC). Casey lost 10-5 to Brad Gushue (St. Johns, NL) where Casey responded with a 7-6 win over Mike Kennedy (Fredericton, NB). Casey won 9-5 against Glenn Howard (Toronto, ON), then won 8-7 against Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS). Casey went on to lose 8-7 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, CAN). Casey lost 8-5 to Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Casey lost 7-6 to John Morris (Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Casey earned 14.921 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 30 of the event schedule, Casey did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Casey ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
