Wayne Tuck Jr. (Brantford, ON) lost 8-6 to Glenn Howard (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Tankard, held January 27 - February 5, 2017 in Cobourg, Ontario.

Tuck Jr. finished 5-4 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tuck Jr. lost 12-9 to Scott Bailey (Dundas, ON), droppimg another game, 11-6 to Howard. Tuck Jr. lost 9-7 to John Epping (Toronto, ON) where Tuck Jr. responded with a 10-5 win over Mike Harris (Toronton, ON). Tuck Jr. won 9-6 against Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON), then won 8-7 against Codey Maus (London, ON) and 8-5 against Cory Heggestad (Stroud, ON). Tuck Jr. went on to lose 7-6 against Mark Bice (Sarnia, ON). Tuck Jr. responded with a 9-5 win over Dayna Deruelle (Kingston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Ontario Tankard, Tuck Jr. take home 24.024 world rankings points. Tuck Jr. move up 16 spots after posting a net gain of 23.322 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 55th overall with 113.774 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Tuck Jr. ranks 45th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 82.387 points earned so far this season.
