Cathy Auld (Dundas, ON) run at the 2017 Ontario Scotties came to an end in the semifinals with a 9-3 loss to Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON). of the 2017 Ontario Scotties in Cobourg, Ontario;

Auld finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Auld lost 11-4 to Homan, then responded with a 8-6 win over Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON). Auld won 7-6 against Heather Heggestad (Thornhill, ON). Auld went on to lose 6-3 against Jacqueline Harrison (Mississauga, ON). Auld responded with a 7-6 win over Allison Flaxey (Brampton, ON). Auld went on to lose 11-8 against Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON). Auld responded with a 6-4 win over Megan Balsdon (Mississauga, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Auld earned 13.196 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Ontario Scotties. Auld move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 12.441 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 46th overall with 127.874 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
