Heather Heggestad (Thornhill, ON) finished 6-1 in the 17-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Heggestad defeated Charlene Sobering (Ottawa, ON) 8-7, then went on to lose 10-6 against Cathy Auld (Dundas, ON). Heggestad responded with a 8-6 win over Colleen Madonia (Thornhill, ON). Heggestad won 5-4 against Angie Melaney (Lindsay, ON), then won 7-6 against Erin Macaulay (Ottawa, ON) and 12-3 against Susan Froud (Stroud, ON). Heggestad won 5-4 against Chrissy Cadorin (Thornhill, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Ontario Scotties - East Qualifier, Heggestad take home 17.136 world rankings points. For week 18 of the event schedule, Heggestad did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Heggestad ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
