Jean-Sebastien Roy (Thurso, QC) won 5-4 over Pierre-Luc Morissette (Quebec, QC) in the Final of the Experience Curling Classic, held November 30 - December 4, 2016 at the Baie d'Urfé Curling Club in Baie d'Urfé, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Roy won 7-3 over Robbie MacLean (Montreal, QC) in the semifinals of the 2016 Experience Curling Classic in Baie d'Urfé, Quebec, Canada; and won 5-2 over Alek Bedard (Montreal, QC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Experience Curling Classic in Baie d'Urfé, Quebec, Canada;
 
Roy finished 3-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Roy defeated Martin Lavoie (Montreal, QC) 8-1, then won 5-1 against Geoff Reid (Baie d'Urfe, QC) and 5-3 against Alex Berube (Mt-Bruno, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Experience Curling Classic Championship title, Roy earned 13.236 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 83rd place overall with 66.785 total points. Roy ranks 84th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 29.826 points earned so far this season.
