Robbie MacLean (Montreal, QC) run at the 2016 Experience Curling Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 7-3 loss to Jean-Sebastien Roy (Thurso, QC). of the 2016 Experience Curling Classic in Baie d'Urfé, Quebec, Canada; MacLean advanced through the quarterfinals with a 6-3 win over Martin Ferland (Quebec, QC). of the 2016 Experience Curling Classic in Baie d'Urfé, Quebec, Canada;

MacLean finished 2-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacLean defeated Simon Lejour (Laval, QC) 9-8, then won 4-3 against Jeffrey Stewart (Montreal, QC). MacLean went on to lose 6-5 against Benoit Vezeau (Montreal, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

MacLean earned 8.036 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Experience Curling Classic, moving up 85 spots the World Ranking Standings into 210th place overall with 15.108 total points.
