Kelly McMechan (Deloraine, MB) qualified for the 2016 Westman Super League playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-2 against Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB). of the 2016 Westman Super League in Brandon, Manitoba;

McMechan finished 6-5 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McMechan lost 10-1 to Chase Dusessoy (Brandon, MB), then responded with a 7-3 win over Duane Lang (Brandon, MB). McMechan won 6-3 against Marnoch, then won 10-7 against Butch Mouck (Minnedosa, MB) and 6-3 against Tyler Waterhouse (Carberry, MB). McMechan went on to lose 6-1 against Shawn Taylor (Brandon, MB). McMechan lost 6-1 to Jerry Chudley (Brandon, MB) where McMechan responded with a 8-7 win over Curtis McCannell (Pilot Mound , MB). McMechan went on to lose 7-4 against Shane McGranahan (Brandon, MB). McMechan responded with a 5-3 win over Terry McNamee (Brandon, MB). McMechan went on to lose 6-4 against Steve Irwin (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

McMechan earned 5.212 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Westman Super League, moving up 321 spots the World Ranking Standings into 367th place overall with 5.212 total points. McMechan ranks 282nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.212 points earned so far this season.
