Fred Maxie (Seattle, WA) finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Maxie lost 4-3 to Sidney Schroeder (Houghton, MI), then responded with a 8-3 win over Greg Wilson (Chicago, IL). Maxie won 9-2 against Paul Mendoza (Burbank, CA), then won 8-4 against Todd Ussatis (Bismarck, ND) and 5-3 against Robert Melville (Wayland, MA). Maxie went on to lose 7-3 against Hunter Clawson (Duluth, MN). Maxie lost 8-5 to Dan Schally (Madison, WI) where Maxie responded with a 7-5 win over Darrick Kizlyk (Denver, CO). Maxie won 8-7 against Greg Persinger (Fairbanks, AK) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week of the event schedule, Maxie did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Maxie ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
