Maile Molder/Erkki Lill (Tallinn, EST) finished 1-3 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Molder/Lill lost 12-5 to Anna Fowler/Ben Fowler (Kent, ENG), droppimg another game, 10-3 to Gina Aitken/Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) where Molder/Lill responded with a 10-2 win over Finland's Mila Turto/Jari Turto. Molder/Lill went on to lose 5-3 against Anastasia Bryzgalova/Alexander Krushelnitsky (St. Petersburg, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
