Ackerman finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ackerman lost 7-6 to Shawn Joyce (Saskatoon, SK), then responded with a 9-1 win over Shane Vollman (Regina, SK). Ackerman won 9-4 against Randy Bryden (Saskatoon, SK), then won 7-3 against Joyce in their final qualifying round match.

Ackerman earned 11.183 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 68th place overall with 91.712 total points. Ackerman ranks 79th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 38.499 points earned so far this season.
