McConnery finished 4-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McConnery defeated Kristen MacDiarmid (Dartmouth, NS) 5-4, then won 11-2 against Calissa Daly (Halifax, NS) and 5-2 against Christie Gamble (Halifax, NS). McConnery won 9-3 against Robyn MacPhee (Charlottetown, PEI). McConnery went on to lose 7-1 against Kristin Clarke (Chester, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
