In their opening game, Smith defeated Maggie Wilson (Aberdeen, SCO) 6-5, then won 10-4 against Karina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO). Smith went on to lose 9-3 against Gina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO). Smith responded with a 9-8 win over Hannah Fleming (Lockerbie, SCO). Smith won 7-3 against Amy MacDonald (Inverness, SCO). Smith went on to lose 11-9 against Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Smith earned 13.445 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Scottish Curling Championships, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 76th place overall with 71.733 total points. Smith ranks 122nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.795 points earned so far this season.
