Advancing directly to the semifinals, Barker won 9-3 over Breanne Meakin (Regina, SK) to advance to the championship game. of the 2016 Heritage Inn SWCT Spiel in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Barker finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barker defeated Stasia Wisniewski (Regina, SK) 7-2, then won 8-2 against Kaitlyn Jones (Regina, SK) and 7-4 against Lisa Menard (Dauphin, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Heritage Inn SWCT Spiel Championship title, Barker earned 16.596 world rankings points along with the $1,650CDN first prize cheque, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 73rd place overall with 62.368 total points. Barker ranks 75th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 26.842 points earned so far this season.
