Catherine Derick (Buckingham, QC) finished 1-3 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Derick lost 6-5 to Rhys Allen (Manotick, ON), droppimg another game, 8-5 to Stephen Watson (Ottawa, ON). Derick lost 9-4 to Ryan McCrady (Ottawa, ON) where Derick responded with a 2-1 win over Dave Stanley (Russell, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Derick earned 0.205 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 7 of the event schedule, Derick did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Derick ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
