Chad Stevens (Halifax, NS) won 6-3 over Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS) in the Final of the Bud Light Men's Cashspiel, held October 7 - 10, 2016 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. To advance to the championship game, Stevens won 6-4 over Kendal Thompson (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2016 Bud Light Men's Cashspiel in Halifax, Nova Scotia; and won 5-4 over Robert Mayhew (Halifax, NS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Bud Light Men's Cashspiel in Halifax, Nova Scotia;
 
Stevens finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stevens defeated Duane Linton (Lower Sackville, NS) 10-1, then won 10-2 against Mike Flemming (Halifax, NS) and 8-3 against Brent MacDougall (Halfiax, NS). Stevens went on to lose 7-2 against Thompson in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Bud Light Men's Cashspiel Championship title, Stevens earned 16.789 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 46th place overall with 100.264 total points.
