Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) won 7-5 over Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI) in the Final of the Curling Masters Champery, held October 20 - 23, 2016 in Champery, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Edin won 6-2 over Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2016 Curling Masters Champery in Champery, Switzerland; and won 6-3 over David Sik (Prague, CZE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Curling Masters Champery in Champery, Switzerland;

Edin finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) 7-3, then won 8-3 against Florian Meister (Zurich, SUI) and 7-2 against Felix Attinger (Dubendorf, SUI). Edin won 8-2 against Alexander Baumann (Hamburg, GER). Edin went on to lose 5-4 against Antonio De Mollinedo (San Sebastian, ESP) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curling Masters Champery Championship title, Edin earned 38.377 world rankings points along with the $17,445CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 6th place overall with 496.595 total points. Edin ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 260.269 points earned so far this season.
