Bruce Korte (Saskatoon , SK) lost 5-4 to Randy Bryden (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the Estevan Curling Classic, held November 25 - 28, 2016 at the Estevan Curling Club in Estevan, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Korte won 6-1 over Kody Hartung (Saskatoon , SK) in the semifinals of the 2016 Estevan Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 6-2 over Drew Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) in the quarterfinals.
 
Korte finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Korte defeated Jeremy Hrycenko (Arran, SK) 8-2, then won 6-2 against Ryan Deis (Fox Valley, SK) and 6-0 against Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Estevan Curling Classic, Korte take home 20.006 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN prize, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 25th place overall with 195.018 total points. Korte ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 98.409 points earned so far this season.
