Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK) qualified for the 2016 Estevan Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-6 against Kody Hartung (Saskatoon , SK). of the 2016 Estevan Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Jacobson finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobson defeated Jeff Hartung (Langenberg, SK) 4-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Hartung. Jacobson responded with a 5-3 win over Mark Walter (Estevan, SK). Jacobson went on to lose 7-0 against Carl deConinck Smith (Saskatoon, SK). Jacobson responded with a 5-4 win over Brad Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Jacobson earned 10.913 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Estevan Curling Classic, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 63rd place overall with 90.276 total points. Jacobson ranks 55th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 53.594 points earned so far this season.
