Randy Bryden (Saskatoon, SK) won 5-4 over Bruce Korte (Saskatoon , SK) in the Final of the Estevan Curling Classic, held November 25 - 28, 2016 at the Estevan Curling Club in Estevan, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Bryden won 5-3 over Carl deConinck Smith (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2016 Estevan Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 4-2 over Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Estevan Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Bryden finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryden lost 6-4 to Gedak, then responded with a 7-1 win over Shaun Meachem (Regina, SK). Bryden won 7-6 against Jeff Hartung (Langenberg, SK). Bryden went on to lose 8-7 against Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK). Bryden responded with a 8-2 win over Meachem in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Estevan Curling Classic Championship title, Bryden earned 25.463 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 16 spots the World Ranking Standings into 66th place overall with 84.437 total points. Bryden ranks 64th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 39.337 points earned so far this season.
