Hannah Fleming (Lockerbie, SCO) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Fleming finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fleming lost 6-5 to Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE), then responded with a 10-6 win over Oona Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Fleming won 11-10 against Bingyu Wang (HARBIN, CHN). Fleming went on to lose 10-7 against Corryn Brown (Kamloops, CAN). Fleming responded with a 7-5 win over Selina Witschonke (Luzern, SUI). Fleming won 4-3 against Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER). Fleming went on to lose 10-8 against Nina Roth (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Qinghai China Women's International, Fleming take home 11.344 world rankings points along with the $6,666CDN prize, remaining in 27th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 196.084 total points. Fleming ranks 20th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 132.521 points earned so far this season.
