Dunstone finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Mathieu Beaufort (Sorel-Tracy, QC) 7-1, then won 6-4 against Heath McCormick (Blaine, USA). Dunstone went on to lose 9-4 against Epping. Dunstone responded with a 5-2 win over Rui Liu (HARBIN, CHN). Dunstone won 3-1 against Michael Fournier (Montreal, QC), then won 6-4 against Ryan McCrady (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Challenge de Curling de Gatineau, Dunstone take home 38.418 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN prize, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 23rd place overall with 176.211 total points. Dunstone ranks 18th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 73.720 points earned so far this season.
