To advance to the championship game, Scheidegger won 8-5 over Chantelle Eberle (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2016 HDF Insurance Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta; and won 6-1 over Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 HDF Insurance Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta;
Scheidegger finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scheidegger defeated Brett Barber (Biggar, SK) 7-3, then won 7-4 against Bingyu Wang (HARBIN, CHN). Scheidegger went on to lose 4-2 against Sweeting. Scheidegger responded with a 8-2 win over Holly Scott (Edmonton, AB). Scheidegger won 7-5 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the HDF Insurance Shoot-Out Championship title, Scheidegger earned 50.348 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 23rd place overall with 137.607 total points. Scheidegger ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 50.348 points earned so far this season.
