Kim finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim lost 5-4 to Kim, then responded with a 10-2 win over Youngju Ryu (Uiseong, KOR). Kim won 7-4 against Ji Suk Kim (JeonBuk, KOR), then won 8-4 against Jiyeong Lee (Songhyeon, KOR) and 9-4 against Hyomin Woo (Bongmyeong, KOR). Kim won 7-6 against Su ji Kim (Chooncheon, KOR). Kim went on to lose 10-3 against Eun ji Gim (Gyeonggido, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Korean National Championship Championship title, Kim earned 9.765 world rankings points, remaining in 13th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 5.916 after improving upon their best so far this season. Kim ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 238.787 points earned so far this season.
