Kim went on to lose 7-4 against Minu Kim (Seoul, KOR). Kim responded with a 8-3 win over Seongbin Kim (Chooncheon, KOR). Kim won 8-3 against Sanghyeon Gwak (Uijeongbu, KOR). Kim went on to lose 6-5 against Kim in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Korean National Championship, Kim take home 8.621 world rankings points, moving up 53 spots the World Ranking Standings into 172nd place overall with 21.084 total points. Kim ranks 175th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 13.944 points earned so far this season.
