Dow finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dow defeated Ontario's Brent Gray 8-1, then won 5-1 against Brent Ross (Harriston, ON). Dow went on to lose 6-3 against Ontario's Jon St. Denis. Dow responded with a 8-1 win over Gary McCullough (Aurora, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
