Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI) finished 2-3 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pfister defeated Ben Fowler (Kent, ENG) 6-1, then went on to lose 7-5 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA). Pfister lost 6-3 to Aku Kauste (Helsinki, FIN) where Pfister responded with a 7-2 win over Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED). Pfister went on to lose 6-3 against Alexey Stukalskiy (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.

Pfister earned 1.864 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 31 of the event schedule, Pfister did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 23rd place on the World Ranking Standings with 264.550 total points. Pfister ranks 33rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 120.190 points earned so far this season.
