Eskilsson finished 5-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Eskilsson lost 9-4 to Grant Hardie (Dumfries, SCO), then responded with a 8-1 win over James Pougher (Hawarden, WAL). Eskilsson won 8-4 against Alexey Stukalskiy (Moscow, RUS), then won 6-0 against James Craik (Aberdeen, SCO) and 6-5 against Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO). Eskilsson won 7-3 against Aku Kauste (Helsinki, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.
Eskilsson earned 18.643 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the CCT Aberdeen International Curling Championship. Eskilsson move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 7.801 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 36th overall with 213.055 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
