Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI) qualified for the 2017 German Masters playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 10-5 against Alexey Timofeev (Moscow, RUS).

Pfister finished 2-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pfister defeated Timofeev 6-5, then went on to lose 7-6 against Aku Kauste (Helsinki, FIN). Pfister responded with a 6-1 win over David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Pfister earned 19.038 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the German Masters. Pfister move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 17.938 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 24th overall with 253.801 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Pfister ranks 31st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 109.441 points earned so far this season.
