Diane Gushulak (Vancouver , BC) won 7-2 over Lindsay Hudyma (Vancouver/Victoria, BC) in the Final of the Cloverdale Cash Spiel, held September 16 - 18, 2016 in Surrey, British Columbia. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Gushulak won 8-1 over Sarah Koltun (Whitehorse, YK) to advance to the championship game. of the 2016 Cloverdale Cash Spiel in Surrey, British Columbia; of the 2016 Cloverdale Cash Spiel in Surrey, British Columbia;
 
Gushulak finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushulak defeated Cierra Fisher (Chilliwack, BC) 9-1, then won 7-2 against Kayte Gyles (Surrey, BC) and 7-3 against Shiella Cowan (Surrey, BC). Gushulak won 8-6 against Hudyma in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Cloverdale Cash Spiel Championship title, Gushulak earned 15.951 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 40th place overall with 81.449 total points. Gushulak ranks 31st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.951 points earned so far this season.
