Janet McGhee (Uxbridge, ON) won 7-6 over Erin Macaulay (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Carleton Heights Women's Cash, held September 8 - 11, 2016 at the Carleton Heights Curling Club in Ottawa, Canada. To advance to the championship game, McGhee won 8-2 over Celeste Bellefeuille (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2016 Carleton Heights Women's Cash in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada;
 
McGhee finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McGhee lost 7-5 to Cheryl McBain (Ottawa, ON), then responded with a 17-0 win over Anne Crawford (Ottawa, ON). McGhee won 4-3 against Eve Belisle (Montreal, QC), then won 9-4 against Jennifer Langley (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Carleton Heights Women's Cash Championship title, McGhee earned 15.823 world rankings points along with the $1,200CDN first prize cheque, moving up 78 spots the World Ranking Standings into 93rd place overall with 19.209 total points. McGhee ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.823 points earned so far this season.
