In their opening game, Christensen defeated Robyn Silvernagle (North Battleford, SK) 4-1, then won 9-2 against Melissa Runing (North Mankato, MN) and 9-3 against Minnesota's Annmarie Dubberstein. Christensen went on to lose 9-2 against Jessica Schultz (Saint Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the St. Paul Cash Spiel Championship title, Christensen earned 20.971 world rankings points along with the $3,295CDN first prize cheque, dropping 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 27th place overall with 143.666 total points. Christensen ranks 27th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 42.039 points earned so far this season.
