Bingyu Wang (HARBIN, CHN) qualified for the 2016 ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-3 against Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI). of the 2016 ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling in Blaine, Minnesota, United States;

Wang finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wang defeated Nova Scotia's Theresa Breen 8-7, then went on to lose 7-4 against Paetz. Wang responded with a 7-1 win over Shannon Birchard (Winnipeg, MB). Wang went on to lose 6-5 against Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA). Wang responded with a 5-4 win over Robyn MacPhee (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.

Wang earned 18.312 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling.
