Brown finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown defeated Arizona's Mike Siggins 8-3, then went on to lose 7-4 against Rui Liu (HARBIN, CHN). Brown responded with a 5-3 win over Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN). Brown went on to lose 6-4 against Adam Casey (Regina, SK). Brown responded with a 5-2 win over Nicholas Connolly (Seattle, WA) in their final qualifying round match.
Brown earned 11.745 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling. Brown move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 7.435 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 23rd overall with 240.259 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
