Craig Brown (Blaine, MN) qualified for the 2016 ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-3 against William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB).

Brown finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown defeated Arizona's Mike Siggins 8-3, then went on to lose 7-4 against Rui Liu (HARBIN, CHN). Brown responded with a 5-3 win over Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN). Brown went on to lose 6-4 against Adam Casey (Regina, SK). Brown responded with a 5-2 win over Nicholas Connolly (Seattle, WA) in their final qualifying round match.

Brown earned 11.745 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling. Brown move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 7.435 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 23rd overall with 240.259 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Brown ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 117.361 points earned so far this season.
