Goethberg went on to lose 5-4 against Michael Roxin (Linkoping, SWE). Goethberg lost 7-4 to Rasmus Wrana (Harnosand, SWE) where Goethberg responded with a 5-3 win over Tony Polder (Jonkoping, SWE). Goethberg won 6-4 against K-G Pettersson (Linkoping, SWE). Goethberg went on to lose 7-2 against Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Goethberg earned 1.313 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 66 spots the World Ranking Standings into 396th place overall with 2.313 total points. Goethberg ranks 380th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.313 points earned so far this season.
