Kristen Streifel (Edmonton, AB) lost 6-5 to Alberta's Selena Sturmay in the Final of the AJCT Players Championship, held March 11 - 13, 2016 in Spruce Grove, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Streifel won 7-3 over Alberta's Brenna Bilassy in the semifinals
 
Streifel finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Streifel defeated Alberta's Kelsey Dixon 7-3, then won 6-5 against Alberta's Selena Sturmay and 4-1 against Alberta's Brenna Bilassy in their final qualifying round match.
