Dean Joanisse (Maple Ridge, BC) won 6-4 over Korea's SooHyuk Kim in the Final of the Hub International Crown of Curling, held October 14 - 17, 2016 at the Kamloops Curling Club in Kamloops, Canada. Joanisse finished 3-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Joanisse defeated Cody Tanaka (Delta , BC) 7-1, then won 6-4 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) and 6-3 against Glen Jackson (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Hub International Crown of Curling Championship title, Joanisse earned 22.153 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 36th place overall with 127.453 total points. Joanisse ranks 46th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 29.824 points earned so far this season.
