Russett lost 5-1 to Marla Mallett (Walnut Grove, BC) where Russett responded with a 6-2 win over Lindsay Hudyma (Vancouver/Victoria, BC). Russett won 9-6 against Chiaki Matsumura (Karuizawa, JPN). Russett went on to lose 7-3 against Sarah Wark (Chilliwack, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Russett earned 2.043 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 145th place overall with 10.792 total points. Russett ranks 105th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.308 points earned so far this season.
