Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC) run at the 2016 Hub International Crown of Curling came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-3 loss to Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). of the 2016 Hub International Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada; Thompson advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-2 win over Diane Gushulak (Vancouver , BC).
 
Thompson finished 3-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson defeated Kesa Van Osch (Nanaimo, BC) 6-3, then won 5-4 against Gushulak and 8-6 against Corryn Brown (Kamloops - New Westminster - Nanaimo, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Thompson earned 19.293 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Hub International Crown of Curling, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 39th place overall with 105.703 total points.
