To advance to the championship game, Casey won 9-7 over Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2017 Ed Werenich Golden Wrench Classic in Tempe, Arizona, United States; and won 6-5 over Craig Brown (Blaine, MN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Ed Werenich Golden Wrench Classic in Tempe, Arizona, United States;
 
Casey finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Casey defeated John Morris (Vernon, BC) 7-1, then won 8-1 against Darryl Horsman (Tempe, AZ) and 6-5 against Brown. Casey won 9-3 against Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Ed Werenich Golden Wrench Classic, Casey take home 32.883 world rankings points along with the $3,997CDN prize. For week 23 of the event schedule, Casey did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Casey ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
