Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) finished 2-1 in the 4-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Murphy defeated Bob Smallwood (Whitehorse, YK) 11-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Murphy responded with a 16-2 win over Wade Kingdon (Iqaluit, NU) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Tim Hortons Brier Pre-Qualifier, Murphy take home 2.888 world rankings points. For week 29 of the event schedule, Murphy did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Murphy ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
