Steffen Walstad (Oppdal, NOR) won 6-5 over Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) in the Final of the Norwegian Curling Championship, held February 26 - 28, 2016 in Stavanger, Norway.

Walstad finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walstad defeated Jorgen Myran (Oppdal, NOR) 10-2, then won 12-1 against Mathias Braenden (Lillehammer, NOR) and 7-2 against Odd Arne Vage (Sormarka, NOR). Walstad won 5-1 against Magnus Utgard (Hamar, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Norwegian Curling Championship Championship title, Walstad earned 23.089 world rankings points, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 42nd place overall with 122.663 total points. Walstad ranks 40th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 89.540 points earned so far this season.
