Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) won 5-4 over Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the Final of the Humpty's Champions Cup, held April 25 - 30, 2017 in Calgary, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Homan won 5-0 over Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2017 Humpty's Champions Cup in Calgary, Alberta; and won 9-5 over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Humpty's Champions Cup in Calgary, Alberta;
 
Homan finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) 7-4, then went on to lose 8-3 against Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB). Homan responded with a 6-4 win over Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB). Homan won 5-3 against Victoria Moiseeva (Kaliningrad, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Humpty's Champions Cup Championship title, Homan earned 73.699 world rankings points along with the $40,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 37 of the event schedule, Homan did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 1st place on the World Ranking Standings with 1078.302 total points. Homan ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 494.594 points earned so far this season.
