In their opening game, Einarson defeated Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) 8-7, then went on to lose 9-3 against Victoria Moiseeva (Kaliningrad, RUS). Einarson lost 6-4 to Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) where Einarson responded with a 6-5 win over Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
