Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON) qualified for the 2017 Meridian Canadian Open playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-5 against Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). of the 2017 Meridian Canadian Open in North Battleford, Saskatchewan;

Flaxey finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Flaxey defeated Tracy Fleury (Sudbury, NONT) 9-7, then went on to lose 7-5 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Zurich, SUI). Flaxey responded with a 11-5 win over Briane Meilleur (Winnipeg, MB). Flaxey won 7-3 against Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
