Silvana Tirinzoni (Zurich, SUI) lost 5-3 to Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Boost National, held December 6 - 11, 2016 in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Tirinzoni won 6-5 over Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT) in the semifinals of the 2016 Boost National in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario; and won 9-2 over Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Boost National in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario;
 
Tirinzoni finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni defeated Einarson 7-1, then went on to lose 6-5 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Tirinzoni responded with a 8-2 win over Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB). Tirinzoni won 6-3 against Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Boost National, Tirinzoni take home 66.112 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN prize, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 605.693 total points. Tirinzoni ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 242.486 points earned so far this season.
