Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2016 Boost National playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-2 against Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI).

Sweeting finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sweeting defeated Feltscher 8-6, then won 6-2 against EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR) and 5-3 against Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Sweeting won 6-5 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
