Joelle Brown (Winnipeg, MB) qualified for the 2016 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-7 against Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC). of the 2016 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Cranbrook, British Columbia;

Brown finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown defeated Hannah Fleming (Lockerbie, SCO) 10-4, then won 9-7 against Shannon Kleibrink (Okotoks, AB) and 10-4 against Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON). Brown won 8-0 against Kerry Galusha (Yellowknife, NT) in their final qualifying round match.

Brown earned 20.524 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 32nd place overall with 136.320 total points. Brown ranks 48th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 42.821 points earned so far this season.
