Thompson finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson lost 7-4 to Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA), droppimg another game, 8-6 to Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT) where Thompson responded with a 6-5 win over Diane Gushulak (Vancouver , BC). Thompson won 6-3 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
Thompson earned 29.076 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 33rd place overall with 134.779 total points. Thompson ranks 19th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 90.145 points earned so far this season.
